Amikno is a user-friendly test that detects meat and animal by-products within 30 seconds. The test strips will react when coming in contact with animal protein, animal by-products, animal grease, gelatin, and rennet. Amikno helps maintain vegan diets, prevent allergic reactions, and picks up cross-contamination by matching results with a color-coded scale.

The test involves placing an Amikno strip against the surface of your food, beverage, or product – (lotion,body wash, shampoo). The swab contains a piece of plant-based litmus paper that changes color to indicate the presence of dairy, meat or animal by-products.

This process is similar to a ph test, however the chemical reaction and the process are quite different. This test identifies the presence of organic molecules that are only found in animals. If there is even trace amounts of cross-contamination, our test will quickly identify and alert you of it’s presence within 30 seconds.
