You’re in for a treat! We’ve veganized the classic McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish and you won’t believe how delicious it is, and the texture is perfect. Our version features a savory plant-based patty that’s crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and all the classic fixings, without any of the animal products!
INGREDIENTS
🐟 1 Pack of Omni Golden Filets
🥖 3 Buns
🧀 3 slices of vegan cheddar
For pickled shallots:
🧅 1 shallot
🍶 1/2 cup vinegar
🧂 tbsp pickling spices
For Tartar sauce:
🥚1/2 cup vegan mayo
🍋 Zest and juice of a lemon
🥒 1 big pickle
🟢1 tbsp capers
🧂Salt to taste
PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS
Cut shallots and place them in a jar. Fill it with white vinegar, sliced shallots, and pickling spices. Mix well and place in the fridge.
For the tartar sauce, mix the vegan mayo with a zest of a lemon. Top it with lemon juice. Slice the pickle into small cubes. Add capers and salt. Mix well and set aside.
For the fish follow the package instructions, and make it in the oven or a pan. Meanwhile, Grill the buns from the inside and place 1 slice of cheese on each bottom part of a bun. Top it with fish fillet, tartar sauce, and shallot pickles. Close the bun and serve immediately. Enjoy
